Re: script interface

I think it depends on the printer the the lp-interface you use on your system.
Is it a direct-attached printer ?
Is it network-attached ? If so, do you use hpnpl ? And if so, what model-script have you chosen ?

Re: script interface

I use sam to define the printer, and I shall like to change script /etc/lp/interface/printer to use the receptacle 1 2 or 3. It is a "ricoh" printer and the command in the script /etc/lp/interface/printer is "lpr".

Re: script interface

Hi,

there is no 'lpr' command in HP-UX, I think. What is your OS? Which version?

Re: script interface

Hi,

there is no possibility to transfer custom options via rlp - this must be done in the original (=remote) model script.
If you are able to define three different logical printers on the ricoh, having hardcoded option 1,2 or 3, then you can connect them one-to-one to 'remote printer' definitions on the HP host.
