SCSI lbolt error

I am getting a message in syslog:

Zalon register dump:
IO_STATUS: f90008c0
IO_II_DATA: f90008c0
IO_DC_DATA: 31313131
SCSI: Resetting SCSI -- lbolt: 57963, bus: 0
SCSI: Reset detected -- lbolt: 57963, bus: 0
First party detected bus hang -- lbolt: 62363, bus: 0
lbp --> state: 1020
lbp --> offset:f0

This message is repeating and the server hangs intermittently.

Server model: R390
OS : HP_UX 11.0
Controller card is GSC: add-on Fast/Wide SCSI Interface. Driver using os c720.
Patches loaded: General Recommended patches/ Hardware patches March 2000

Pls let me know if anyone have faced a similar prob.

Re: SCSI lbolt error

>>First party detected bus hang>>

If you are current on patches, most important the SCSI patches, you want to report this to hardware support as it indicates a hardware problem with the bus.

Re: SCSI lbolt error

The problem is on the bus with instance 0,
You may have hardware entering into a failing state.. or not followin power on/off recommendations.

ioscan -fnkCext_bus

Your ext_bus with instance 0 has h/w with a problem.
Verify cables and power to these devices.
(don't hot plug scsi)

Verify SCSI termination.
