Available at HP's Software Depot:

And I do believe your understanding is correct.

Re: Secure Shell
I'd agree with Doug. In point of fact, the O'Reilly book is suggested for further reading within the HP-UX release notes.

Re: Secure Shell
First, I'd like to encourage you to use HP's build of Secure Shell which you can download from:
http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=T1471AA
Why? You have FULL HP support and it is sanitized...
To install and use/administer -- COnsult this very well written documentation (HTML and PDF provided):
http://docs.hp.com/en/T1471-90019/ch01s10.html
Nothing really difficult or hairraising with SSH...
Favourite Toy:
AMD Athlon II X6 1090T 6-core, 16GB RAM, 12TB ZFS RAIDZ-2 Storage. Linux Centos 5.6 running KVM Hypervisor. Virtual Machines: Ubuntu, Mint, Solaris 10, Windows 7 Professional, Windows XP Pro, Windows Server 2008R2, DOS 6.22, OpenFiler
