send mail notification

We are using CDE environment. Whenever root send mail notifications arrives, it appears directly on the workstation terminal (not on session terminals) jumbling the display on the screen. What could be the problem? Thanks.

Try dmesg

Look for hardware problems.

ioscan -fnk

sweverify \*

I'd guess hardware of software problem. Nothing more specific.
