Sendmail - connection refused
Hi,
I have 2 servers running Openmail, with sendmail SMINTFC routes configured and the mailertable constructed with the correct entries. I can send a mail from one server to the other, but when I try to reply to that message, i get:- ec 3 15:22:24 euem sendmail[14470]: PAA14466: to=openmail@duem.raflatac.com, d
elay=00:00:00, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=smtp, relay=duem.raflatac.com. [141.172.1
24.5], stat=Deferred: Connection refused by duem.raflatac.com.
The last bit is the significant bit, but I don't have a clue what causes it to refuse?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Cheers
Sue

Re: Sendmail - connection refused
Hi Sue,
The information you've shared is a little short. As you know, the route from OpenMail1 to OpenMail2 goes through sendmail, so:
OM1 -> sm1 -> sm2 -> OM2
What I understand, is that you can send from OM1 to OM2, and you can send from OM2 to OM1, but a reply is refused?
Has this worked in the past
What was changed, before it stopped working.
What is in the mailertables?
What version of OpenMail,sendmail?
Which system is duem (sm1, sm2, a 3rd relay system)
What is the syntax of an OpenMail internet address (user@raflatac.com?)
What does the hosts: line say in /etc/nsswitch.conf
What is content of /etc/mail/sendmail.cw
Do you have sendmail's access_db activated?
