Thanks for the help in the past. One of my users finds that some of his mails are bouncing back. The /var/adm/syslog/mail.log file shows these errors..
Any ideas?
Feb 23 11:14:30 kopernik sendmail[1899]: LAA01897: LAA01899: DSN: Data format error

SolutionIs this happening to every mail that is sent out of the box or only in few cases?.
You may have to check how your system is configured in DNS. It may not be sending proper identification etc.,. If you look at the returned mail, you may get some clues out of it.

This is happening only in few cases.. User reports that its is only in 2 out of 5 cases.

Can you ask him/her to check the returned mail and probably post the headers here?. And how is the user sending the mail out? I believe the user may be introducing some headers that are not suitable for SMTP protocol.
