Re: sendmail problem
Hi,
The latest version of sendmail supported for HP-UX 11i is 8.11.1 and you can download it from:
http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=SMAIL811
If you have a later version, I'm guessing you got it from sendmail.org or some other repository. Even if you get it to run on HP-UX, you might not get any HP support folks to help you with problems.
Is there a reason why 8.11.1 won't work for you?
Regards,
Dave

Re: sendmail problem
/sbin/init.d/sendmail is the system init script to starup the sendmail service. If you are having sendmail binary to statup the binary then no need to worry / build it again.
If you have anyother system then copy the file /sbin/init.d/sendmail and test them on command line.
If you don't have sendmail script then let us know.

Easy to suggest when don't know about the problem!
