Sendmail version & updates ?

How do I find out which version of sendmail we are running and where would I find latest/recommended updates ?

check in /etc/sendmail.cf

swlist -l fileset | grep -i sendmail

To see which version is installed. You will probably see a few versions installed (most via patches) so note the highest rev number.

You can download patches which have new versions from the itrc.hp.com, just search for sendmail in security patches.

BTW - latest sendmail from HP is:

Or. if you like to compile the latest, just go to:

http://www.sendmail.org

When sendmail is running;

/usr/sbin/sendmail -d0.1 -bp | grep Version
