Hi Guys, i have been asked to harden my servers... Any site,pdf or advice where to start looking for this phenomena....

Shalom,

The bastille advantage is it interactively can close down services that are not needed. This actually improves system performance while hardening.

You need an add in for Perl5

I suggest TCP Wrappers to better manage services.

Use ssh Secure Shell to replace rcp remesh rexec and the like protocols and ftp.

Secure shell encrypts authentication and data stream.
