Re: server not work on xmanager

Shalom,

By default the OS install does not have the font server needed by x running

/sbin/init.d/xfs start

To make it autostart.

vi /etc/rc.config.d/xfs
Change the first variable to 1 an next boot the font server will be running.

Re: server not work on xmanager

ps -ef | grep dtlogin ... is it running ?

if yes -->

nslookup the ip address and fqdn of both systems involved here on both systems and look for any differences ?

firewalls in the way, are both systems on the same or separate subnet, does this work for any other unix system from the same pc ?

Where can I find my Xmanager log files?
1. Start Xmanager, and right click on the Xmanager tray icon.
RESULT: Xmanager tray icon menu opens up.
2. From the Xmanager tray icon menu, point to Log, and then click Folder or File.
3. Folder containing all Xmanager log files should open up.
Actual path where Xmanager log files are saved:
Xmanager Enterprise 2.0:
C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data\NetSarang\Xmanager Enterprise\2\Log
Xmanager 2.0:
C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Application Data\NetSarang\Xmanager\2\Log

maybe worth trying here also ...
