Server shifting
Hi Admins ,
We are shifting our servers ( a number of rp54xx and D class /and one VA 7100 )to a new building around 5 km away from our current premises,I am planning to take the following precautionary measures .
1.Ignite backup of all servers
2.Full back up and Incremental back up of data
3.Shutdown the VA7100 thru the command
What else I must do before shifting the server (like hard disk head parking or something of that sort).

Re: Server shifting
Before powering any servers up, check that the power works properly on something else first.
Are the IP addresses changing?

Re: Server shifting
Inform HP CRC before you move your servers, that way HP can take precaution measurements if anythink will happen during the move.
