Service Control Manager, error when adding a client

When i do a
mxnode -a name.test.com
i get the error:
The following file for the following node does not exist: name.test.com
Please refer to the Technical Reference Manual...

I've installed the agent on the machine and i already have 2 other machines running "under" the SCM

any ideas?

Re: Service Control Manager, error when adding a client

Hi

i would check the /etc/hosts file .

i think it shuold be like this in the name of the host is argon :
15.188.125.205 argon.israel.hp.com argon

add this to the /etc/hosts of the server and to the client

Re: Service Control Manager, error when adding a client

It's not the server that's giving the problem i think..
cause the other nodes are working perfectly...
