Setting iLO IP Address via command line ?
We are running HP-UX 11.31 on Blade Integrety servers....
Is there a way via command line to set the IP address, netmast, etc... for the iLO port via the command line ??
If not, how can it be changed ???
Since it has no IP on it, I cannot access it via the Blade either to set it...

Re: Setting iLO IP Address via command line ?
If you mean by HP-UX command line; then no. HP-UX has limited access to the iLO MP.
You can use the Cx000 enclosure OA to do this. Typically you set up a range of IP's for encloure bay's MP LAN ports. While this can be done via command line from the OA, its easier to use the GUI.

Re: Setting iLO IP Address via command line ?
Hi Mike ,
U will see a small lcd panel near the enclosure end , you can use the navigation buttons to find the OA ip .
Once you have that you can paste that to an explorer and provide credentials to login , rest you can traverse by yourself , assign ip to ilo , use the jvm console , cold boot the machine etc .
Regards,

Re: Setting iLO IP Address via command line ?
Are you new to Integrity or HP Blades or both?
I will assume both and hopefully the following will help you out.
First off the HP BladeSystem Onboard Adminstrator Users Guide would be the place to start.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00705292/c00705292.pdf
Look under the First Time Wizard section for the info you need about setting up Enclosure Bay IP Addressing.
For further information about setting up an Integrity Blade iLO, you should start here:
For BL860/870 (first gen): http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01936251/c01936251.pdf
For BL8x0 i2 blades:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02111169/c02111169.pdf
Also note that if you cannot, for some reason, setup the iLO MP LAN via the OA, you can attach the USV dongle to the blade and access the iLO MP directly via serial cable.
Good luck!
-Bob
