Re: setting up sendmail

Sendmail is setup by default - all alerts go to root

If you want it to go to you then:

In /etc/mail/aliases

# Local aliases
root : you@yourdomain.com

The execute:
newaliases

In /etc/mail/sendmail.cf you may need to add the following:

# who I masquerade as (null for no masquerading) (see also $=M)
DMyourdomain.com

# "Smart" relay host (may be null)
DSyouremailserver

Then restart sendmail:

/sbin/init.d/sendmail stop
/sbin/init.d/sendmail start
