SFTP + rm problem

Something strange I am facing, might be a know thing to some one..

I am doing sftp to a host from same host, trying to do rm *, it doesnt work.

I amtrying to do sftp to above host from different host, same user, rm * works.

sftp same host, using a different user, works..

What can be this?

Thanks and regards
Prashant

Re: SFTP + rm problem

Well more complicated as I try analysing it more..

HP to HP sftp doesnt allow rm *
SUN to SUN sftp doesnt allow rm *
linux to HP rm * is thru
linux to sun also thru
