SG-CFS-pkg -> cannot find disk on slave node
Hi!
I've got 2 rx4640 hp-ux 11i v2 based Itanium servers (oradb1 & oradb2). I'm running cvm/cfs
Veritas Cluster Volume Manager & Cluster File System multi node SG package.
Wanted to shut down SG on node oradb1, so I
(cfs)umounted CFS (VxFS) file systems and
'cmhaltnode -f' SG on that node.
Now SG-CFS-pkg tries to come up, but after several retries cluster halts the machine and
SG-CFS-pkg.log (repeatedly) says:
-------------------------------------------
07/17/07 11:47:51 vxdctl -c mode
mode: enabled: cluster inactive
07/17/07 11:47:51 vxclustadm -v nodestate
state: joining
nodeId=1
masterId=-1
neighborId=-1
members=0x0
joiners=0x0
leavers=0x0
reconfig_seqnum=0x0
vxfen=on
reconfig: initialized
07/17/07 11:47:51 Waiting for CVM to stabilize
07/17/07 11:48:04 vxclustadm -v nodestate (exit=101)
state: out of cluster
reason: cannot find disk on slave node
07/17/07 11:48:04 Retrying the CVM join
07/17/07 11:48:12 vxdctl -c mode
mode: enabled: cluster inactive
07/17/07 11:48:12 vxclustadm -v nodestate
state: joining
...
-------------------------------------------
For a few brief moments 'vxdctl -c' says:
-------------------------------------------
mode: enabled: cluster active - SLAVE
master: oradb2
state: joining
-------------------------------------------
... which would be correct.
My question is:
'reason: cannot find disk on slave node'
Which disk is this supposed to be and of
course any hints to resolve this?
Thanks,
Borut
