Share problems

How can I share my windows folders to HP-UX OS? Or how can I access to Windows folders from Unix not using ftp?

Re: Share problems

Have a look at these.

CIFS Client - Allows HP-UX systems to mount Windows shares

CIFS Server - Allows Windows machines to mount HP-UX shares

These products are FREE and supported by HP. They work only on HP-UX 11.0 and newer.

Re: Share problems

Here are mount commands for two drives using the cifsclient software noted earlier in this thread. No, the passwords are not real, but it shows how to do the mount from an HP-UX box.

cifsmount //isnmain.investmenttool.com/shared /isnmain.share -f -I 192.168.0.30
-U root -P password
cifsmount //isnmain.investmenttool.com/Websites /isnmain.web -f -I 192.168.0.30
-U root -P password

The ip addresses have been changed to protect the guilty.
