snmpdm !!

Hi folks,

I am getting the error in the alerting tool like snmpdm Process is down, i am not aware of the thing snmpdm.. can u pls tell me what is the process for and how to start that process

Shalom,

This process is part of snmp, simple network management protocol.

Your system is configured to run this daemon and alert you when its not running.

There should be an snmp start up script in /sbin/init.d

/sbin/init.d/snmp start right ?

there are also a number of sub-agents
ll /sbin/init.d/Snmp*
