squid configuration
Unfortunately I have no clue regarding the configuration of squid ...
Let's say I have two clients c1 and c2 and the proxy server p1.
I've configured so far in the squid.conf:
http_access allow c1
http_access allow c2
and
acl c1 src xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
acl c2 src xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
Now I have the following request:
1. Currently c1 and c2 can communicate unrestricted through the proxy. We need to restrict both server back to CentOs update destinations
2. In addition c2 must perform HTTP HEAD request (it must be limited to only HEAD request type to anywhere).
How can I do this / how is the syntax ? Hope my question are clear ?
Thanks
Stefan

Re: squid configuration
Hello,
Squid proxy has extensive documentation.
Albeit, not always easy to read.
Something along the following lines comes to
my mind:
acl c1 src xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
acl c2 src xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
acl c2method method HEAD
acl goodsite dstdomain .mydom1.dom mydom2.dom
...
http_access allow c2method c2
http_access allow c1 goodsite
http_access allow c1 goodsite
...
http_access deny all
Cheers,
