SSH hanging

I a two node cluster with HP 0S 11.11. I just upgraded SSH a.04.50.009 on both nodes in the cluster. I can ssh from node A to all servers on customer's network AND my company's jump server. However node B I can ssh to all servers on customer's network BUT NOT to my company's jumpserver, howver I can ping the jumpserver from node B?

Any clues why this is happening?

Did it work before you upgraded?

Can the SSH target system ("jump server") do
address-to-name DNS look-ups on all the SSH
client systems?

"ssh -v [...]" output might be informative.

"A" and "B" are the cluster nodes? Any
firewalls between the SSH client(s) and the
"jump server"?

Re: SSH hanging

I'm not for sure if ssh was working before. I have my firewall team on the phone to check the ports for ssh and trying to get someone also to confirm DNS.

Do you think it could be a configuration issue? Both nodes A and B are configured the same.

Still true.

Do it yourself and avoid the wait? On the
SSH target system, do something like
"nslookup ". If you
don't get a name back promptly, there's a DNS
problem, which might be significant.

That's a bit over-broad, wouldn't you say?
They should have different IP addresses,
different names, and all kinds of other
differences.

Knowing no details, such as the actual names
or addresses of any of these systems, nor how
they're connected, nor any actual command
used, nor any actual command output, nor any
SSH diagnostic output, it's tough to make
many specific suggestions.
