Re: SSH

If you don't care if you use ssh or openssh you can get a depot version at:

http://hpux.ee.ualberta.ca/

Attached are some notes for installing that version.

Re: SSH

Hi,
Download software from HP's porting site.
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Networking/Admin/openssh-3.0.2p1/

Either you can download binary zipped or source code and then compile it. ( I would prefer this)

Also note that before installing openssh you "must" first install openssl and zlib. There is a link to these softwares from openssh page.

Re: SSH

We use www.ssh.org and pull the source code. Then we conpile it ourselves. They are pretty good about giving us updates and stuff. If you read the 'readme' it is pretty self explainitory...

Re: SSH

I am trying to install openssh. I down loaded openssh-3.0.2p1-sd-11.00.depot.gz from the hpux.cs.utah.edu website and unzipped it. I was expecting a depot package to install using swinstall. I got the lib files but no depot. What am I missing?

For Barry:

You should open a new message when you have a question instead of tacking it onto someone else's question.

The answer for you is that openssh-3.0.2p1-sd-11.00.depot.gz is a gzipped depot. Simply gunzip it then specify and run swinstall against openssh-3.0.2p1-sd-11.00.depot.
