standalone ack timer
I am using HP-UX 10.20 and I would like to change standalone ack timer from 200 to a low value. Does anybody knows how can I do that or is a fixed value of HP-UX 10.20?
Thanks in advance

Re: standalone ack timer
Are you referring to keep_alive packets...networking?
If so, then check out these threads:

...or it's Monday, and I am totally misunderstanding your question...

Re: standalone ack timer
The standalone ack timer has a value of 200 milliseconds in HP-UX 10.20. In HP-UX 11.0 this value is 50 milliseconds. This produce that if I want to send 1200 of 1000 bytes (for example) files using mput in FTP, it takes 240 seconds in HP-UX 10.20. It would take about 80 seconds in HP-UX 11.0.
