STM logs
I am using cstm version A.13.00 on one of my production systems.
when I try to run logtool utility it is showing following msg:
cstm>runutil logtool
^-- (RunUtil) is currently disabled. --
Can anyone knows how to enable this logtool utility?....
Any kind of suggestions are encouraged.
Cheers...
Satish.

Re: STM logs
I experienced the same before and I solved it out by upgrading STM to the latest release distributed on the web, www.software.hp.com.
Hope this helps,

Re: STM logs
which version of the OS are you running?
If you are running 10.10 then there is no newer version for STM, in which case you might have to reinstall but if you are using 10.20 or above (11.0) then the latest version is A.28.00 and you should probably upgrade to the latest version.

Re: STM logs
I am using HP-UX 10.20 and STM version A.13.00
As far as I know I don't need to upgrade my stm, bcos logtool utility introduces from A.10.00 version itself, and i am able to run it fine on other machines with same version and also A.10.00 version.
Hope stop/start may work.... any more ideas?.. please...
Cheers...

Re: STM logs
Have a look on :
/var/stm/config/sys/diaglogd and
/var/stm/config/sys/diagmond
Uncomment line OUTPUT_LEVEL, and your desired value.
1 Only errors
2 Errors and warnings
3 Errors, warnings and all informational messages.
See also an example in :
/var/stm/config/tools/exercise/hosts.cfg and
/var/stm/config/tools/exercise/scsi_mo.cfg
