anyone know if swinstall or any of the other sw commands can support pgp signed packages/bundles? tia.

Hmmm....Interersting question....I don't think that swinstall supports those. I haven't heard of anythings else that will either.
A digital signature would be another way to verify that a product is valid and that it is from who you think it is.

swinstall does not check who created the file.
So the answer is no, pgp or others are not used.

swinstall does not have PGP capability. You would need to install PGP; you could then use it to verify a detatched signature before running swinstall.
Of course, this presupposes that you have packages that have been PGP signed. Until vendors start doing that....
