swremove leaves directories
I've installed/uninstalled several packages from the porting center and HP, for example gcc 3.0.1. When I
'swremove gcc', the /opt/gcc directory tree remains (no files). I installed with
'swinstall -s /abs/path/gcc.depot gcc'
Am I ding something wrong? Is there a fix?

Re: swremove leaves directories
There a quite a few patches for swinstall and ignite, some of which might fix this issue. I usually use custom patch manager to determine what patches each one of my individual servers need.

Re: swremove leaves directories
swremove only removes files listed in the IPD, which in turn are those that are installed using swinstall. This does not include any files you create later, or that were created by the 'configure' stage of the installation.
