May 8 04:03:07 aine vmunix: (might need to run 'ioscan' first).

When I ran the ioscan, it seems to be there.

What are the meanings of these messages and is there any thing serious about these?

Re: Syslog error mesgs

Shalom,

One of your Fiber Channel HBA cards was changed.

They all have a unique identifier called WWN, World Wide Name, which is like a MAC address for HBA cards.

I surmise that one of your cards failed and was replaced and the SAN handing out the LUNS was not updated with the new WWN.

Use fcmsutil to get the new WWN for your SAN administrator.
