Syslog error mesgs
I am getting the following error messages about the storage devices on my server:
May 8 04:03:02 aine vmunix: 3/0/10/1/0/4/0: Device at device id 0xae3755 has di
sappeared from Name Server GPN_FT
May 8 04:03:02 aine vmunix: (FCP type) response, or its 'Port World-Wide Name'
has changed.
May 8 04:03:02 aine vmunix: device id = loop id, for private loop devices
May 8 04:03:02 aine vmunix: device id = nport ID, for fabric/public-loop dev

May 8 04:03:02 aine vmunix: System won't be able to see LUNs behind this port.

Shalom,
One of your Fiber Channel HBA cards was changed.
They all have a unique identifier called WWN, World Wide Name, which is like a MAC address for HBA cards.
I surmise that one of your cards failed and was replaced and the SAN handing out the LUNS was not updated with the new WWN.
Use fcmsutil to get the new WWN for your SAN administrator.
