Syslog error regarding NFS????

Hello everyone,
We got the following remote system error for NFS in syslog...
Can somebody tell what exactly this error means? & how to overcome this problem?

automountd[1093]: stat /usr/sap/XRT/XRT: Permission denied

aor3p1 does not have permission to mount aoxtpdb1:/usr/sap/XRT/XRT. Ensure aor3p1 is listed as an authorized host to the right of the entry for /usr/sap/XRT/XRT in /etc/exports on aoxtpdb1. Then re-export on aoxtpdb1 via 'exportfs -a', and run 'automount' on aor3p1.

We dont have access to aoxtpdb1....

we can only access aor3p1...

So how can i checked from aor3p1.... so that i will suggest client to take ncessary actions on aoxtpdb1

The sysadmin of aoxtpdb1 needs to authorize aor3p1 to access its NFS share(s). This is accomplished by adding aor3p1 to entries in /etc/exports on aoxtpdb1, and re-exporting shares via 'exportfs -a'.

If you are not the sysadmin of aoxtpdb1, you will need to contact him.

What OS is aor3p1 running? How is this filesystem mounted? Is it mounted via AutoFS or in the /etc/fstab file? Can you provide either the AutoFS maps or the /etc/fstab file entry where this filesystem is mounted?

Hi,

#showmount -e aoxtpdb1 | grep XRT
should show aor3p1 server. If not, please contact the other system admin to provide access

Also, check /etc/hosts ==> ensure aoxtpdb1 & aor3p1 are listed with their IP address.

If you are using DNS, ensure #nslookup returns proper IP
