Syslog errors about telnet/tcp

I just started receiving this error in my syslog
telnet/tcp: accept: bad file number

Can anyone tell me what is causing this?

Re: Syslog errors about telnet/tcp

Hi,
The cause of this error could be at the
server side or at the client side.

Most of the time, it is at the client side.
Check the telent client s/w you are using.
Check any other software ( like antivirus s/w, s/w firewall) at client side.

Server side problem could be lack of resource like buffers etc. But if you don't see other problem at server side, then probabality of cause is less at server side.

Re: Syslog errors about telnet/tcp

fix
The platform is trying to open a range of udp socket that the scansoft
server doesnâ t recognize. The scansoft server returns an error that
badly handled by the platform leading to a leak of udp socket and a
inode table full when the problem occurs repeatedly. A fix has been
implemented in the platform to handle correctly those errors, so there
are no longer socket leaks. This fix is integrated in a patch.
Fix is included in OCMP 2.3 patches :

Re: Syslog errors about telnet/tcp

Hi,

This could be due to telnet/rcp login tries at wrong ports.
