Re: syslog message

Hi,

EMS (Event Monitoring Service) is a framework that is used to monitor various system resources.

More information can be found in this document:

Using the Event Monitoring Service:

http://docs.hp.com/hpux/onlinedocs/B7612-90015/B7612-90015.html

Your syslog message signifies the starting up of the EMS daemon for monitoring your hardware.

Hope this helps. Regards.

Re: syslog message

Hi,

The message in syslog is just an incomplete summary about the real problem that was log. To have the complete problem description with a resolution execute the command listed in the syslog file:

/opt/resmon/bin/resdata -M 1533300606

If you still need help with this message could you past the output you had from that command.

Re: syslog message

This is an EMS warning messages. Since your message is incomplete, you may try to execute the exact command that shows in the message to get a report, ie. "/opt/resmon/bin/resdata -M 1533300606......" and it will show which part of your machine is having problem. Then trace the problem from that report.

Hope this helps.
Kenny.
