Will someone help me interpret exactly the meaning of this syslog message below.

"vmunix: vxfs: mesg 004: vx_mapbad - /ics2 file system free inode bitmap in au 5 marked bad"

may require a fsck on that filesystem or worse case, replace the disk.

Did you use fsadm to reorganize your filesystem ?

please post your os version and the vxfs version.

Have also seen the intermediate case where you needed to newfs the filesystem.
