System Memory

How do you determine the actual amount of total system memory available (In Real Time).

For example, some of your memory goes bad and not available.

Re: System Memory

What type of system? For example on a V-class box you can always go to the test station and run 'dcm 0'.

In my experience though, the server always crashes if we loose a memory stick.

Re: System Memory

Hi Arnold,

Something like,

# echo "selclass qualifier memory;info;wait;infolog" | cstm | grep 'Total Configured'

Re: System Memory

Hi,

If you have prm installed ( mission critical)
you can use:

# prmavail MEM

Re: System Memory

This is an RP8400.

# prmavail MEM
5715100 real memory pages or 22324 MB available (PRM estimate)

# ait;infolog" | cstm | grep 'Total Configured' <
Total Configured Memory : 32768 MB
Total Configured Memory : 32768 MB

Thanks ...
