Tape Dirve installation
I am planning on installing a new tape drive onto an HP9000 within the next few
weeks. This is my first expierence with this type of install and am wondering
if there is any sort of documentation or things I should look out for before I
do the install.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Tape Dirve installation
Kyle,
HP provide a heap of resources and documents on all areas of HP-UX, including
the installation of tape drives. All of the documents can be viewed in HTML or
PDF (or purchase a hard copy).
HP's Technical Documetation site (www.docs.hp.com) contains all of these
documents, with search functionality.
The link for configuring a tape drive is below.
Good luck
Andrew

Re: Tape Dirve installation
Last time I installed an HP tape drive I used sam and it worked a treat. It
even recompiled the kernel with the new drivers for me.
Good Luck!
