Tape Drive Compatability?

Hi we have two HP Servers and the Models is:
# uname -a
HP-UX AServer B.11.11 U 9000/785 2014783136 unlimited-user license
#
# uname -a
HP-UX Bserver B.11.11 U 9000/899 652402331 unlimited-user license.

We have two External tape Drives:
HP SureStore 24e external tape unit (C5653C)
HP SureStore E, part number A1375A.

Please tell me that is this two tape drives are compatible for the mentioned above servers.

Hi,

Your machine :
ServerA is 9000/785 (workstation)
ServerB is 9000/899 (server)

The tape drives :
HP SureStore 24e : DDS
HP SureStore E : DLT

As long as there's a SCSI SE port on both machine, the two tape drives are compatible for both machines. Means that HP SureStore 24e can work on both machines, same as the HP SureStore E.

But since the tape catridge is not the same, you cannot swap the tape catridge between these tape drives.
