Why can not see tape DAT in LH4?

You'll need to supply a few more details. I am assuming you have a DDS tape drive hooked to an HP 9000 series computer. What does ioscan report concerning the tape drive's location? Is LH4 a backup program?

This is the wrong forum for this question.

An LH4 is an Intel x86 based server.
