telnet problem
i am trying to telnet to one of my machine hpux 11.23 ,am i getting an error says "data control flow OFF" and getting disconnected ..what is this error ?i tried telnet 0 from the same node ?

could be network issue, also pls do the below
netstat -in
who
ps -ef |grep sshd
ps -ef |grep telnet
reset the lan interfaces...
lanadmin ----> lan ----> reset lan interfaces..

"data control flow", not "data flow control"?

i have logged to one server as root,and trying telnet to the problem server getting the error.if i logged in as root in problem server and try telnet 0 ,then also getting same error.what may be the issue.what is "data flow control" actually ?

How did you login as root into problematic server? through console?using ssh or rlogin? or even telnet?
is it not allowing only non-root users?
was it working earlier?
