Terminal server printer problem
This is the first time to try this...
I can print a small reports to the printer which by the way is serial with 9600 bit , no Parity.
If i send a big report 700K for example the printer starts printing okay then sometimes prints serveral things on one line.
Terminal server port 8bit , 9600 Xon,Xoff
I am using a dumb interface with the 9600 bit rate..
Thanks in advance ..

Re: Terminal server printer problem
Xon/Xoff i believe is software flow control. suggest you use hardware flow control and try. The type of problem you are facing is primarily a vendor related issue and the solution varies from vendor to vendor.
Hope this helps.

Re: Terminal server printer problem
this sounds like a handshake / flow control problem. Make sure both sides are set correctly.
There are two types of handshake mechanisms. One is a softwaresolution the other is hardware.
Can't remember which one is software.
If both sides are set correctly and the problem still exists, try to use the other handshake method.
Hope this helps

Re: Terminal server printer problem
Thanks for the replys ..
I failed to mention in my previous request ..
The printer is already connected to the terminal server and using the binary filter which came with the T.S on an Hp-UX 10.20 server.
The printer is working no problem from this end.
I am printing remotely to the printer right now through the Hp_UX 10.20 server.
On the Hp_UX 11.00 server if i try the same binary it does not print the whole file even a small file.
Thats the whole story , why i am trying to use ddfa and dpp.
