Re: Top command output

Hi,

Have you compared it with that of sar -u and glance outputs?. What do you get from them?

>What does glance report
The glance report is correct (Idle avg=23%). Only top is crazy and after running for few day.

Re: Top command output

Do you have multiple cpu's? If so, I think there is a patch to correct top.

Re: Top command output

There is a previous forum issue about top command producing inaccurate output, in the last 2 weeks or so. Damned if I can find it.

Have you got the patch below?

Re: Top command output

hi,

Given its buggy output, TOP should be renamed as BOTTOM.

Top is not totally reliable. Use glance or sar to get the info you want.

Re: Top command output

I have 16 CPU's. The last installed patch is PHCO_22686, but the problem it continues to remain. Which patch I must install?

Thanks Ric.
