Trace deamons
Hi,
Does anyone know of a command in HP-UX to Trace System Calls. My user want to trace a application deamon which dies out.
In Sun Solaris there is a command called "truss"
In Linux there is a command called "strace"
And in Tru64 Unix there is a command call "trace"
I have found out in HP-UX there is a command called "tusc" but there is no man page and the command does not work.
Any idea.
Regards,
Ryan Philip

Re: Trace deamons
You can get from HP as well.
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/catia/Utils/tusc7.4.shar
It includes the man page as well. Man of tusc 7.9 is at http://hpux.ewi.tudelft.nl/ftp/hpux/Sysadmin/tusc-7.9/tusc-7.9.man.html
Afaik, 7.4 is HP supported but man page of 7.9 can be used to refer if needed before actual install.
