TRAPD
I am Using HP UX 11.11 Machine and in that snmpd is running. I have requirement of handling of Trap Message. I came to Know that TRAPD and trapd.conf file will suite my requirement (Hope My assumption is correct).
My problem is trapd and trapd.conf file not present in HP UX 11.11. Only agent (snmpagent and sub agent) running in this machine. Could you please some one tell me how to get Trapd and TRAPD.CONF

Re: TRAPD
HP trapd is a component of HP OpenView Network Node Manager product. To get pricing information, ask your HP salesperson.
For a freeware solution, go to http://software.hp.com and run a search for "Net-SNMP". It's available as a component of the HP-UX Internet Express package. You don't need to download nor install the entire Internet Express: the download page allows you to download just the Net-SNMP component if you wish.
Net-SNMP contains "snmptrapd" which can receive and log SNMP traps. If any further handling is required, you may need to write some scripts.

Re: TRAPD
Hi
You need HP OpenView Network Node Manager. The evaluation version of NNM can be downloaded from
http://h20229.www2.hp.com/products/nnm/tc_nnm_0001.html
For more specific questions you can choose Network Node Manager forum.
Hope this helps
Regards
Padma
