Re: trimlog,syscheck and samba

Hi mangesh,

About trimlog, you can trim system logs in SAM (Routine Tasks->System Logs->...)

About sys_check, I don't know any command but there is sar (to check activity).

Re: trimlog,syscheck and samba

Hi,

Trim a log file on SAM (run SAM as root) and, after that, view SAM Log to see what command(s) is(are) executed. SAM is basically an user interface...

Re: trimlog,syscheck and samba

Hi Mangesh,

1.) sys_check I believe it is used to find the system config info. IN hp-ux u can use the following to find the system info.

/opt/ignite/bin/print_manifest

A print_manifest output is attached with. Pls see.

2.)There is no command "trimlog" in hp-ux.

3.) You can install samba on hpux 11i. Find it at http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/searchProducts.do
