Umount Problem
Hi,
I have a problem with File System Umount.
I tried to add a new ignite client, and on my server I received an ERROR because, ignite server can't umount /var/opt/ignite/client.mnt nfs file system on client.
I tried to umount manually, but I received the following message "umount: return error 1 File System busy".
The process that lock my file system is rescan_hw_host; I tried with a kill -9 command but It can't dead...
I tried to disinstall and reinstall Ignite product on my Client, but the process don't dead.
What can I do to umount the file system, whitout reboot the system ?
Thanks for Helps
Bye
Filo

Re: Umount Problem
You could try to stop NFS (but I doubt that will work - once NFS hangs - you are pretty much out of luck).
A kill -9 - even if you did kill the process could still leave the file system locked...
/sbin/init.d/nfs.client stop

Re: Umount Problem
Hi
You may use the command
# fuser -cuk File_system_to_be_unmouned
Once this command exits cleanly, you may then unmount the filesystem.
