updatediaglif2 "not found on the system"

Hi,
I installed os version september 2005 on a rp8420 server with the last patches and Onlinediag version :

OnlineDiag B.11.11.16.09 HPUX 11.11 Support Tools Bundle, Sep 2005

After the installation I tried to create a mirorr disk, but when I executed command "mkboot -b updatediaglif -p HPUX -p LABEL -p ISL -p AUTO /dev/dsk/c0t0d0" , I realized that there wasn't directory /usr/sbin/diag/lif .
Can somebody help me.

Thanks advance

Re: updatediaglif2 "not found on the system"

You should be using updatediaglif2 as this is 64bit OS.

Also check swverify -v OnlineDiag

Re: updatediaglif2 "not found on the system"

Hi,
Sory I had not specify the OS version before; I installed OS Sep05 11.11 version1

HPUX11i-OE-MC B.11.11.0509 HP-UX Mission Critical Operating Environment Component
HPUXBase64 B.11.11 HP-UX 64-bit Base OS

I executed swverify command and the output is OK, there wasn't error or warning signallings.

Thanks

Re: updatediaglif2 "not found on the system"

You do not have "OnlineDiag.LIF-LOAD" this. And a result do not have updatediaglif utilities. You will get those only when you install that fileset/subproduct.

Re: updatediaglif2 "not found on the system"

The offline diagnostics environment (ODE) is now a "standalone" product.

See this link for how to obtain the software:

http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=PA0512

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Filo --

Try a slightly different command:

Re: updatediaglif2 "not found on the system"

Filo -- Also keep in mind that you cannot use the -p option to preserve something that isn't there.

-p will only work if those files were previously installed with a mkboot or via ignite

Re: updatediaglif2 "not found on the system"

Kent, RAC, the LIF-LOAD package is no longer delivered with the OnlineDiags, it is a stand-alone installation now.

Filo, the instructions on what to do with the CD image are at http://h20293.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=PA0509 towards the bottom of the page (beginning with "Downloadable ISO Image Installation instructions")
