Upgrading Ignite Server
Hi,
We have a Ignite Server with B.11.23 and Ignite-UX Revision C.6.2.241 . I want to upgrade it to Ignite-UX C.6.98.228 version.
kindly let me know the steps needed to perform this upgradation. also pls mention the precautions which shud be taken during upgrade.

It is quite simple as it is only a version upgrade.Download the latest ignite ux version and required patches and use swinstall to install the latest version

I would suggest you to use swremove to unistall the ignite and then use swinstall to install new version.
Sometimes if old version is corrupted then new version don't overwrites the files and later we face issues in running the application. This is a recommendation only however new version could be installed without uninstalling the old version.

It is always advisable to remove the previous version (swremove), and besides making this I suggest you before installing the new version to change the directory name of the following ones:
/opt/ignite--> /opt/ignite.old
/var/opt/ignite--> /var/opt/ignite.old
After verifying that the new installation this fine, you will be able to observe that new ignite directories have been created being able to remove when you want the .old versions.
