UPS date time

We have a UPS on the K370 that is plugged in via a serial port.

When we have a power cut - the time on syslog messages are wrong.

Doesn't seem to affect operation - but how do I set the time on the UPS?

Re: UPS date time

What model UPS is this? Is it possible the syslog is showing time as GMT?

Re: UPS date time

I'll have to go find the model.

It supports the power-onoff function if that helps.

If it reported GMT it would only be an hour out this side of the atlantic - for us that is probably rather more obvious - but good idea all the same.

Re: UPS date time

Simon,

the UPS you described sounds like a PowerTrust to me. It uses the upsmond to monitor the UPS, right?
The solution for your problem is... a Patch.
For hp-ux 10.20 it is PHCO_7314

Thanks - it is a Power Trust.
