UPS help again
Since I cannot get much help from APC, I would appreciate it if hp guru can help here:
Our K260 server needs an APC simple signaling ups setup, but I don't know if I can saftly remove /dev/tty0p1 that is set as a terminal for hp ups port originally.
Can I rm it as terminal, then create one modem device using the same port /dev/ttyd0p1?
Though I have another modem port /dev/ttyd0p7 on the box, I am not able to make it work with APC, eithor connecting cable to "ups" hard-wire connector at the back of the box, or connecting to external port (RS232).
On the other hand, I can't create more device, as the mux has been used up suggested by the messages like:
"There are no available ports on the highlighted mux/serial device. Note: one of the possible reasons this may happen is if you are tyring to add a modem to a mux port that doesn't support modems."
Please help!
Thanks a lot,
Steven
