During login into a system, passwd promption count will be 3 normally ( without using special option on pam.conf ).
We can lock the user accounts with passwd -l option.
I want to lock that specific user account who failed in the 3 time password promption count to make a login into the system.
How we can do this.
Easy to suggest when don't know about the problem!

Re: user account locking
Is your system trusted? If so, you can set the number of unsuccessful login attempts before an account is locked in 'System Security Policies' under 'Auditing and Security' using SAM.
