User Migration

We just got a new L3000 a couple weeks ago, and are ALMOST ready to go live on it. What is the most efficient way that you people have found to move all user entries over to the new server....The old server is trusted, the new on is untrusted (for now and can be changed). I have already restored our backup of /home on the new box.

You should be able to move /etc/group, /etc/passwd and the /tcb files and I think you should be ready to go.

Hi,

- Configure your new L3000 in trusted.
- Copy the /tcb directory (tar / untar)
- Copy /etc/groups
- Copy /etc/passwd
- Copy home directories

This works fine.
