/usr/sbin

Just wondering.... Is there something that touches the system occasionally that would affect change date of sbin?

Re: /usr/sbin

/sbin/init.d has startup scripts. possibly if you make any changes with SAM it could effect that.

Re: /usr/sbin

Hi,

Installing patches if modifying files in /usr/sbin (which of course many patches do) will change the date/time stamp of /usr/sbin. I don't believe booting will. Booting after installing patches and some files were busy in /usr/sbin will cause them to be added to swinstall's cleanup list. That will cause /usr/sbin to be touched when the system comes up.

Re: /usr/sbin

I see no modifications in /usr/sbin on my system since install time:

ll /usr/sbin | grep 2002

to search.

Note that some files (vx backup etc..) are symbolic links
