Re: VG mount issue
Did you place an entry for this new VG in /etc/fstab?

Re: VG mount issue
Hi:
Is this volume group under Serviceguard control? If so you may need to edit your package scripts to activate it. If it is not controlled by Serviceguard, look at your 'etc/lvmrc'. It may require custom volume group activation.
Regards!

Re: VG mount issue
if you edited /etc/lvmrc, then you may have prevented the volume group from activating at boot time. This is the preferred operation if you planned for the volume group to be activated by a Serviceguard package. If this system is in a Serviceguard cluster, and you need to activate the VG when the package is started on that system, then create a package and associate it with the volume group, to activate the volume group.
You may be able to use System Management Homepage to create a package and link it to the the volume group, logical volume(s) and mount points. Or if you prefer to manually create the package, consult the Managing Serviceguard manual in this website: http://www.hp.com/go/hpux-SG-docs
