vgimport question

Hi,
I have import a vg, but under /etc/lvmconf there isn't vg_erp.conf .

Can some body tell me why?

vgchange -a y vg_erp

then vgcfgbackup vg_erp

but why the system havent not create vg_erp.conf file after import without vgcfgbackup?
The system create this file after the first reboot?

How did you imported the VG? Did you get any error messages? Normally the LVM configuration files under /etc/lvmconf should be updated when you make any changes to LVM defenitions.

Check 'strings /etc/lvmtab' file, check 'vgdisplay -v /dev/vg_erp' and apply all latest patches.

Because vgimport don't activate VG ; You must activate it before save configuration .

Usually VG is automatically activated at booting .

VG is active in cluster mode....and there aren't problem.
